On Wednesday 16th January 2019, we attended the Microsoft UK Partner Executive Summit in London. The oversubscribed partnership event, which was also streamed online to over 500 people, featured technology focused discussions and networking opportunities.
Clare Barclay, Chief Operating Officer at Microsoft UK, presented on how Microsoft is helping partners to grow their systems using their platform, allowing them to provide the best service to clients and consumers. The key strategic partnerships have been identified as manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and retail. As a pioneering Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Health and Clinical Healthcare service provider, our CEO Kishore Sankla was invited onto a panel discussion on AI following the presentation.
On the panel, chaired by Clare Barclay, Kishore was joined by Simon Cole, CEO Automated Intelligence and Mike Bugembe, Consultant and Former Chief Analytics Officer at JustGiving.com. Throughout the discussion the audience heard their expert opinions and experience on how the industry is changing and what opportunities are arising using AI.
A key topic of discussion was the challenges of digital transformation, and the changes that are happening in healthcare to improve services offered to patients. Kishore highlighted the importance of disease prevention in healthcare and the global scale that using artificial intelligence can create.
“We wanted to do something that was going to be truly impactful and our challenge was how to we deliver something that was consistent and at scale.”
The work that Solutions 4 Health has done on artificial intelligence, ultimately creating our Quit with Bella app, has come from our 11 years’ experience in the healthcare field. Using the data acquired together with our 200 specialist Behaviour Change Advisors we are able to make transformative changes that have a genuinely meaningful impact.
The panel, listened to by hundreds of Microsoft Partners, gave advice from their first-hand experience on the barriers in working with AI and their advice for new organisation. Despite AI being very much unknown when Solutions 4 Health first embarked on their work 2 years ago, the benefits for all panellists outweighed the barriers. Using AI to work more effectively allows companies to provide clients and consumers with more accessible and faster services, understanding the challenges in different communities and working to reduce these whilst still providing the same quality of service. Kishore gave an example from within healthcare, where fears of the AI app replacing the need for on the ground services have been turned around by Advisors seeing the Quit with Bella app as a complimentary service or “colleague” rather than competition.
Thank you to Microsoft for inviting our CEO Kishore Sankla onto the panel. Solutions 4 Health are proud to be working alongside Microsoft, a valued partner in driving forward healthcare to make it accessible for all.
